Rebel Buttermilk Biscuits
1 package of Rebel Buttermilk Biscuit Mix
1 & 1/4 cup milk
Biscuit Baking Instructions
Keep the mix in the freezer until you’re ready to bake.
When ready, empty the packet into a large bowl. Add the buttermilk and mix well with a wooden spoon. The dough should be slightly sticky but still easy to handle.
Turn the dough out onto a well-floured surface. Knead it 5–6 times, just until the flour is incorporated.
Pat the dough into an 8-inch circle about ¾ inch thick.
Using a floured biscuit cutter (a canning jar lid works great too), cut out the biscuits. Press straight down—don’t twist—to help them rise better.
Place the biscuits on a parchment-lined baking sheet and put the sheet in the freezer for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 450°F. Place the chilled biscuits in the hot oven and bake for 5 minutes.
Reduce the oven temperature to 400°F and continue baking for about 15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and enjoy! Warm with butter, jam, or honey. 🧈🍯
